HB 104

Private Counselors Amendments

This bill will more readily provide access to mental health and substance use disorder treatments by removing an additional licensing barrier to private mental health professionals. In addition to a license as a mental health professional, those wish to provide their services to incarcerated individuals were also required to obtain an additional certification. By removing that requirement, those needing help will have easier access to it, helping our state solve a very real problem.
